What a great concept!
All of us at Wednesday Book Worms agreed that this book should have been great. Unfortunately, it just did not live up to our expectations.
The narrative didn't flow very well. We could all see why Julia Childs would have disliked the blog - certainly Julie didn't seem to take much (if any) pleasure in cooking each recipe from "Master the art of French Cooking".
In many ways, this book did just seem to be a bunch of blog posts published as a book - but people don't sit down and read an entire blog in a few days! They read it post by post. Over months/years.
All in all, this book was a bit of a disappointment.
